Portland, Oregon
Timberline Lodge & Ski Area offers one of the most exciting and unique high-alpine mountain skiing experiences in North America. Located at the base of Mount Hood, about an hour outside of Portland, OR, Timberline's satellite retail locations like this one at Portland International Airport expose the brand to travelers all over the world.
The airport store features an array of locally designed and printed apparel and jewelry, iron work, and ceramics and glassware made by local craftsmen, and the company trusts only the pre-engineered security gates from Cascade Architectural to keep their exclusive merchandise safe at PDX.
Designers at Skylab Architecture selected an operable 5/16” 15-ga. aluminum Guardian Grade Fabricoil® Security Gate from Cascade to lock down the entryway after hours. The durable metal woven wire mesh system features a Satin Black powder-coated finish that blends well with the retailer's brand, and is secured in place using the pre-engineered Steel Secura Track attachment system allowing staff to effortlessly operate the system when opening and closing the store. The security gate features matching powder-coated batons that help to easily maneuver the flexible mesh screen, intermediate and locking channels that match the fabric, and reliable locking footbolts for added protection at the base of the system.
