Tampa, Florida
The Mosaic Company is the world’s leading producer of nutrients vital to food security worldwide like concentrated phosphate and potash. The company strives to minimize energy consumption and use of natural resources to reduce its environmental footprint.
That desire to be environmentally-conscious was paramount in their selection of building materials while designing the Fortune 500 company’s Florida offices. To provide security to the café during closed hours, Cascade Architectural's 1/4" steel Guardian-Grade Fabricoil® curtains in a Brightened powder-coated finish were installed to reliably secure the premises without sacrificing any sustainability benefits for the environmental—as the base wire material and powder-coated finish are both Red List Free products with Declare labels from the International Living Future Institute.
Gliding along Cascade Architectural's pre-engineered 1300 Series Track, the operable metal mesh security curtains can be opened and closed with ease. The Mosaic Company's selection of the Guardian-Grade Fabricoil coiled wire fabric security gate system was solidified by Cascade Architectural's ability to provide custom engineering services, as well, to accommodate the curved track assembly design for the space.
Cascade Architectural utilizes no toxic chemicals during the manufacturing process and boasts a low carbon footprint–manufacturing to specification using 90% or greater recycled materials, minimizing scrap and waste, and streamlining project delivery from their headquarters in the Pacific Northwest. These environmentally conscious systems were ideal for The Mosaic Company.
