Fort Worth, Texas
The Montgomery Plaza condominiums are the pinnacle of luxury living in Fort Worth. And because each unit is individually owned, residents can fully customize their space as they wish. But for a handful of executive lofts located on the building’s top floor, interior designers selected a unique product to pay homage to the building’s industrial past – unfinished stainless steel Fabricoil® space-dividing curtains.
According to designer Maika Winter, ASID, at Wintercreative, Fabricoil allowed the design team to maintain views of downtown Fort Worth while still creating a sense of intimacy and spatial definition in an otherwise large, voluminous loft.
The floor-to-ceiling stainless steel mesh provides dimension to the open living space, allowing designers to divide the room without constructing a solid wall. As a result, Fabricoil effectively segments the living and dining areas while preserving the condo’s modern open-floor plan.
“I love this product and was thrilled to have a chance to use it in a residential setting. We get so many comments from people walking through this model.” Winter added.
Fabricoil is a semi-transparent material perfect for residential space dividing, light diffusion, and solar shading when installed in place of traditional window curtains. At Montgomery Plaza, the Fabricoil partition allows for daylight to permeate the entire home, not just the areas immediately adjacent to the windows. The material’s elegant aesthetic, long-term durability, and low-maintenance has delighted renters and homeowners for decades.
